You know, if you really love your parents or it is just how your heart wanted to, you will really get along with them. And when you get along with them, then its bonding time. After all, it was worth it, and you’ll never know that you are getting close to them because you are enjoying each other’s company. It is such a great way to remove stress and bring back smiles even if you have a problem. It could be anything, anytime and anywhere. It is good for a relationship because the whole family spend time together. You treat yourself and you treat others to be happy. In times like when the parents are always at work and the children have a problem and needs someone to listen, it was unhealthy because the parents are frustrated and tired when going home, and the children tried their best to get their parents attention. It sometimes leads to misunderstanding and some fights. But if your parents are like this, you should be the one to find ways to give them their special day and bond over something. You will just show that you really care for them.

*Give them a gift. It doesn’t have to be expensive; you just need to show that you remember them. It could be flowers, breakfast in bed, and a coin purse made by you using the sewing machine she gave you last year. It would be really sweet really, especial if you teamed up with your brothers and sisters or other relatives around the house.

*Have a some Father-Son day/ Mother-Daughter day. Dads and their sons could do some new sports or do the challenge to do each others hobbies and interest. Moms and daughters could spend time at the salon or at the spa. Or just bake some cookies and cakes for the dad and son that will be coming home. After all, you will know how your mom did that delicious cookie you loved since you were a kid.

*Watch movies. This might be the simplest and the most common of all. Get your mom and dad’s all time favourite movies. And after watching it, ask your parents why they love it. Who knows, maybe they’ll tell you that the movie you’ve just like is the same movie they watched in their first date together.

*Talk to them. Sometimes if you just ask a question, a silly or sane one, it could go through a good conversation. You can pour your hearts to them, and you will feel relieved. When your brothers and sisters want to join the conversation, let them. It is not right to make other feel “out of place”.

*Do chores together. It can earn brownie points too. And you can get the job done faster.

*Read together in the living room or do some crafts will do too. Go to the park, have a family trip, pop up some music and dance and sing together (sounds crazy but fun). The list was endless, but the point is have fun in everything you do. There is no such thing as family bonding without fun.

*And the last, love each other. Think about living in each other shoes before doing something that might and will go wrong.

Ugh #1. Swimming on the crimson wave, accidentally.

When we have the time in our months, we have to carry our own sanitary napkin. And the ugh thing is, you are dancing, and you can’t be just careless of what you are having now. There are also times that your month came, unexpectedly. This is a really bad bummer for those who have different days of periods. Another thing, we’ll be with our crushes and date that night, right?

Back off!! Use a overnight sanitary napkin if you want, or those that comes in thins so that you don’t have to worry about the sheerness of your dress. A tampon is good too, especially since it fits perfectly in any purse, but so not advisable for the first timers. Remember that your pad should last for one and a half to two hours, and remember to go to the bathroom for checks. And for those who haven’t go theirs, bring some just in case. Learn to trust your instincts about this, and if you feel icky, go to the bathroom.

Ugh #2. Beauty road lead a nasty curve.

So, you set the appointment with your hair dresser and make up pro, and you’re so ready for the day. But when you get out of the place, you looked like a ragdoll mixed with a scare crow that makes people think you’re having a different calendar. You can’t blame those pros, it’s not their whole fault. Maybe you entered with full of ideas or no ideas at all?

Back off!! Your make up artist and hair dresser aren’t perfect, and they are often pressured by both their customers and their service. The most feared line of any employee working in any industry is “The customer is always right”. Like I said in Prom: Preparation, tell them what your dress looks like or carry a picture of your look. And don’t think that after the session, you will look exactly like the person in the picture. When you came to the salon, make it like 3 hours so there are enough time for do-overs if you don’t like the look.

Ugh #3. A date turned invisible.

You have the date, and he’s really that kind of date who is witty conventionalist and good dancer, but here is the hitch, you can’t see him, clearly that’s because he’s invisible.

Back off!! Who cares about date? With or without date, the prom will be a blast. Don’t let him ruin it for you. Hang out with your friends, and it help a lot if their dates are choking them. Have fun, that is what prom is about. You might be looking helplessly at those sweet couples around, but don’t worry, the prom doesn’t start at the pre-prom dinner, but at the post-prom party!!! And let someone drive you home too, if invisible man still can’t be seen though.

Ugh #4. Someone is hanging out with your date, and it’s not you.

You’re so thankful that your date is not like the one I mentioned above, and everybody likes your date, especially a friend of your who interrupts your conversation, hangs out with your date more than you do and she has more dances with him that yours. You might be thinking he wants your date for herself.

Back off!! You can never solve anything if you came at her like a ranging bull calling her a date-stealer. Like how most misunderstanding are made, talk to her, and explain to her everything. Tell her that her date is absolutely lacking her attention and he looks so sad. And if her radar is out, tell her how you feel. Do it in the ladies bathroom for so that no one will think that you two are fighting.

Ugh #5. His hands are somewhere along the distance.

So you’re date is not like the two I have mentioned before, but you’re still not happy. Let me guess, he’s too ‘touchy’. Yeah he keeps staring at you, but why go beyond the neckline? Yeah his hands are around your shoulders, but your shoulders is already sore because he’s not taking it off. And so when the time came when a dreamy music and you guys dance, there is a hand on your butt and it’s not yours.

Back off!! Stay away! Don’t let him ruin the night for you. Who needs him anyway. Hang out with your friends since you are safe there. And as much as possible, go out with the one you know, someone you can trust and can be the perfect gentleman to be with you all night.

Ugh #6. Looking at the couple, who is composed of a girl…and your crush.

Bummer, you only must have landed on some situation. One is, you can’t ask your crush out, the second is he already ask someone out, the third is, the competition is so high (and other reasons too).

Back off!! If you have your own date, better focus on him. He’ll will be really out of place and soon think of you the bad way. Jealousy is a disease, don’t let it eat you. He’s a normal dude, and not Adonis (for your eyes). And if your still long faced, show him that you can be on your own to have fun, maybe for a second look, maybe.

Ugh #7. Twins and a lame.

You’re walking with your date, showing your dress, then suddenly, you saw a girl having the same dress at you. You are so shocked that when you step a foot, your heel broke. Double misfortune huh?

Back off!! It’s better to have a super glue in handy, so that you can just glue your heels back. And for the girl who has the same dress as you, go to her and take a picture, add a caption using your editing software saying ‘my long lost twin!’. Post it up and be happy for it. Keep in mind that it’s a strange coincidence that you two picked the same dress.

Remember that whatever turns out wrong, there is always something to turn it right. Those bummer moments are really good in remembering your prom, laughing at it even if you can’t laugh at it when it happens to you in real time. Say thanks to your parents for letting you go to the prom, to your friends for letting you hang out with them when stick situation comes, and thank your date for having a fun night with him. Don’t let anything ruin the night for you, they are not worth it. Love it and be ready, so that when the dragon comes and blocked the castle gates, gear up your armor even if you’re on your dress and heels.

OK, now that you’ve got your dress, you’re ready to add some sparkle. At last, here are Amy’s rules for flawless prom accessorizing:

1. Accessories should complement, not compete. When it comes to fashion, knowing how to accessorize is uber-important. If you have a gorgeous prom dress but pair it with gaudy accessories, guess what? You’re entire look will fall flat. Go too far and you’ll just look tacky, scale back too much and hel-lo Plain Jane. How to accessorize perfectly? Consider this rule of thumb: Simple dresses carry off bold, statement-making jewelry. Busy dresses require subtle jewelry. Sleek dresses sans embellishments are like blank canvases. They can carry off funky, diva-inspired jewelry, like a giant cocktail ring, gobstopper-sized mother-of-pearl beads, a wide cuff or chandelier earrings. If you love bling, wear a simple dress as backdrop and go to town. Conversely, in-your-face dresses speak for themselves. They’re a focal point, and prom jewelry shouldn’t compete. Keep accessories simple by choosing pearl studs, a pearl pendant or a diamond tennis bracelet (real or fake). The trick is to pull your look together without overwhelming it. Remember, though, rules are meant to be broken. If something works, it works, no matter what the rules say.
2. Don’t be too matchy-matchy. Last year, prom gowns were all about metallics and jewel tones. Whether you decide to go with one of these gowns this year, or another bold color, don’t match your jewelry to your gown. There’s nothing more boring than an emerald green dress with matching emerald jewelry. Trite! Instead, choose pieces in a complementary color. Think how pretty that green dress will look with yellow gems…or how fab luminous lavender pearls will look against a shiny metallic gown. Remember how fabulously Marcia Cross’ huge turquoise earrings set off her white dress at the Emmy’s? Cameron Diaz pulls off the trend well too. If you’re not sure how to get the look, read fashion magazines for inspiration.
3. You can have too much of a good thing. It’s one thing to have great accessories. It’s quite another to overwhelm your look with unnecessary bling. Look in the mirror. Do you notice your accessories first? Your dress? Your hair? You should notice YOU. You don’t want your jewelry, or anything else for that matter, to overpower you. Pick one or two standout pieces-like chandelier earrings and a cocktail ring, or earrings and a cuff, but don’t do a bold necklace and dangle earrings. You don’t want to be all about the jewelry. 
4. You get what you pay for. Unlike your beautiful prom dress or those gorgeous dyed shoes, jewelry is something you can wear long after the last prom song has faded. If you’re going with classic accessories and you’ve got a little money to spare, it’s okay to splurge a bit on, say, a timeless piece like a white pearl necklace. (Try round freshwater pearls; they’re gorgeous and affordable.) But beware trendy pieces. They’re fun to wear, but have a shelf-life that’s shorter than Paris Hilton’s skirts and are so not worth the investment. Spend enough on trendy pieces so they won’t break during the fast songs, but don’t overspend on something you won’t wear again. A big faux emerald cocktail ring probably won’t be in fashion forever, but good quality classic pearl pendant or pair of diamond studs will stand the test of time.

Me. Now as you can see, I’m not doing my own writing for the last two days, that is because I have no idea what to write. Ever since in Prom: Hair, I don’t really know what to right since I don’t have any idea on what to do to my hair at prom. But don’t worry, this one, I copied it in a free print right in the site where I found this, so no violating any law. I guess the teacher can never teach anything real good if she doesn’t even know what she’s teaching.

Glam Ponytail:
This is great for girls with medium to long hair. First, you need to pull your hair up into a high ponytail. For those with curly of frizzy hair, you need you need to straighten out your hair before you begin this prom hairstyle. With the help of spray gel, smoothen your hair on top. Comb it gently to get a flat effect. Ensure your hair is sleek, smooth, tidy and set before you begin with the next step. You will now have to divide the ponytail into 3 sections. Each section of hair will need to be rolled on the underside. Use some bobby pins or hair clips to keep this in place. You can experiment with the directions of the hair clips. Jazz this up with a tiara or a rhinestone pin.

The Chignon Style:
The 40’s look can never really go out of fashion and shoulder length hair can look great in a Chignon for a gown that has a revealing or dressy back. Tie a low ponytail at the base of the neck. You will need to twist your hair to achieve this look. Wrap your tresses loosely in a circular fashion towards the bottom side. Use some bobby pins to secure this tightly so that it does not undo on its own. For a neat finish, use a hairspray to keep your hair in place. It is fine if some layers of your hair fall around to frame your face. You can curl this or straighten it as per your choice.

Sexy Curls:
Curls are a great option for short or medium length hair. If you have short and straight hair, you can use this prom hairstyle idea to create a new look. With the help of curlers or rollers, you can curl your hair for soft and sexy curls all over. Once the rollers have cooled down, remove them and brush your hair gently. Use some designer hair clips or bobby pins for the front section of the hair. Use some hairspray on the backside of the hair. Curls look great when they are slightly messy and not in place, so you would not have to worry about combing your hair all through the night! You can add hair clips with tiny embellishments that suit the design of the gown to complete the look.

Stylish Updos:
If you have long straight hair and have always been wearing it open, you can go for a stylish updo for the prom night. Such prom hairstyles are great to give you a new look. Chic updos are ideal for those who wish to look a tad taller for the prom night. These look best when combined with long flowing gowns. To create your very own stylish updo, separate your hair into two sections. Leave a larger section of hair on the bottom half. This means that you have a partial updo in hand, which is the upper section. Spray a small quantity of hair spray on the upper half with the help of a fine toothcomb (rat tail). Smoothen the top area gently to keep hair in place. Use a stylish clip to keep the hair in place. The lower section of your hair can be curled or kept straight as per the look that is desired.

You can also opt for the French twist as a prom hairstyle. This is very popular because it is easy to style and flaunt as well. Use some gel to flatten you hair. Part your hair on one side and twist it from the nape of the neck. Pull up the twist and fasten it with hairpins. The ends of the hair will need to be twisted into the underside. You can use a small curling iron to curl the ends.

Design

* Balance everything. When your dress is over detail, keep the shoes simple, and vice versa, or else, you’ll look to over detailed to look at (on that fact, everyone don’t know what part of your outfit they’re going to put their attention on).

* For a long dress, opt for a flats, since your legs are not shown. And if you’re dress is cocktail or asymmetrical, choose high heels or strapped heels, and you’ve go fabulous legs on the show.

* For the color, what works well, is that the shoes are slightly darker than the dress (shadow effect). Neutrals works too, while white, gold, and silver lighter dress, and black and gray for dark color.

* Like I said, look at the comfort of your foot, since you will be dancing. If you’re not good at walking on heels, practice at home. Ant it’s a perfect time to correct your wanted posture for the dress and your pose for photos. Wedges are good combination of comfort and heels.

* Lastly, consider the height of your date. You don’t want to look like you’re the man.

Shopping

* Bring a photo of your dress and perhaps the same type of cloth that you have on your dress. Wear the pantyhose you’re about to wear in the prom too, to see how things will go.

* Before you choose on something, be sure you’ve searched the whole store for a wide variety of shoes. I remember once, I gave up on looking up on a shoe, I finally landed on one, and when we’re finally going out of the mall, I saw my dream shoes!!! ah!!! so much for laziness.

* How can you buy a shoe if you’re budget is not enough, eh? There are a lot of thrift store around, so as garage sales. They’re invented already. However, if you chose to buy on such places, double check the shoes for any infractions.

* Get used to your shoes. That reduces the chances of you breaking your heel after a fall.

Tips

* When you shop, do it late afternoon or early evening, because your feet tends to swell up because of the temperature (sometimes).

* In the prom, carry a back up shoes in case you gave up on you heels or got a blister.

* Find a pair that you can pair with anything. Understood???

* If you’re not contented with the design ( I know humans always are), Do-It-Yourself, and hell I love those words. I’ll give you you’re own signature style.

* Pack up some Band-Aids with you.
